Recovery is a journey best traveled together, and for over two decades, one local staple has been a beacon of hope for those seeking a sober life. This April, the New Phoenix Group of Alcoholics Anonymous invites you to celebrate a major milestone: their 23rd Anniversary.
Since its inception, the New Phoenix Group has served as more than just a meeting space; it has been a sanctuary for transformation, offering the tools of the Twelve Steps and the strength of a dedicated fellowship to countless individuals in South Texas.
The Celebration: Bar-B-Q, Fellowship, and Gratitude
To honor twenty-three years of carrying the message, the group is hosting a commemorative celebration that promises great food and even better company.
* When: Saturday, April 25th, 2026
* Time: 1:00 PM
* Where: The New Phoenix Group Club, Corpus Christi, TX
* The Menu: A traditional Texas Bar-B-Q and Pot Luck lunch.
All Are Welcome
Whether you are a “Old-timer” with decades of sobriety, a newcomer taking your first tentative steps toward recovery, or a friend or family member supporting a loved one, the doors are open. This event is a testament to the fact that life in recovery is far from boring—it is a life filled with celebration, laughter, and deep connection.
“We are people who normally would not mix. But there exists among us a fellowship, a friendliness, and an understanding which is indescribably wonderful.” — Alcoholics Anonymous (The Big Book)
A Legacy of Hope
Twenty-three years is a significant achievement for any community organization, but in the context of AA, it represents thousands of meetings, millions of cups of coffee, and an immeasurable amount of service given freely from one person to another. The New Phoenix Group continues to uphold the tradition of providing a safe, consistent environment for those looking to change their lives.
Come out on April 25th to help celebrate the past, enjoy the present, and look forward to many more years of “trudging the Road of Happy Destiny” together.
